US launch for SIS super shock balloon OPN NC®

SIS Medical AG (Swiss Interventional Systems), a leading global developer, manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, high-performance interventional cardiology products, announces the US launch of its flagship product, the OPN NC® PTCA Dilatation Catheter with TWIN-Wall Technology. The product expands treatment options with high performance and safety, providing success rates where other balloons fail.

The OPN NC® catheter features a unique TWIN-Wall design developed by SIS Medical AG, offering very high pressure resistance with a nominal burst pressure of 35 atm. These performance features allow perfect preparation of challenging lesions prior to stenting without over-dilating the blood vessel. The device can also be used for post-dilatation of under expanded stents. The OPN NC® coronary balloon is the only super-high pressure 35 atm coronary balloon to receive 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
