More privacy for sick children SHS annual project provides for a more pleasant stay at Olgahospital
With a long tradition and as one of the largest hospitals in Germany, Olgahospital (“Olgäle”) focuses on treating sick children and young people. “Olgäle-Stiftung für das kranke Kind e. V.” (Olgäle foundation for sick children) was founded 20 years ago under the patronage of Carl, Duke of Württemberg. The foundation strives to ensure permanent aid to sick children and young people as well as their parents and relatives.
The donation made by SHS has been used to modernize the hospital’s oncology department. The newly acquired medical equipment increases the level of privacy for young patients and thus contributes to a greater sense of well-being during their hospital stay. Wheelchairs for the neonatology department have also been purchased. They make it easier for mothers to get to the nursery shortly after birth.
