CARLO®, which stands for ‘Cold Ablation Robot-guided Laser Osteotome’, is a high-tech robot system with which human bones can be cut with extreme precision but without contact, by means of nothing but lasers. CARLO® was developed by AOT AG (Advanced Osteotomy Tools) of Switzerland. Offering maximum patient safety, this system for laser-assisted, touchless surgery offers the capability of unprecedented incisions; a navigation system is used to control the laser beam.
