As this year’s SHS annual project, we are pleased to support the inclusion football team “Tübingen United” with our annual donation
On the initiative of Elisa Mayer and Tomma Hinke, two football clubs, SSC Tübingen and SV Bühl, have launched an inclusive training format. This means that children and young people with disabilities who are interested in football now have the opportunity to pursue their hobby in the club.
Since May 2022, children, youths and young adults with and without impairments have been coming together to do one thing – play football together. A first friendly match took place in July 2022 at the SV 03 stadium in Tübingen against the TSV Musberg inclusion football team. More games, encounters and activities will follow.
SHS Managing Partner Hubertus Leonhardt and SHS CFO Lukas Maucher visited the inclusive football team in November and took part in training. It quickly became clear to both of them that everyone is welcome here. The focus of this team is not on athletic performance, but on having fun playing football and playing together.
“We are pleased that SHS is supporting us in our efforts to promote inclusion in sport. The SHS donation will enable us to organise a training camp for the team in the spring of 2023 and the first “Inclusion Cup” in Tübingen,” said the “Tübingen United” coaching team, Volker Mayer, André Bazhaf, Katja Seibold and Frederik Hinke.
